@Annie @odd, Thank you, I guessed it must be something like that, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen one before. I’ve heard of plumbers doing something called ‘rodding’ drains, but ‘rod’ always sounded too inflexible for such a thing. I guess it’s just the UK plumbing term for these things.
