Submitted the first assessed pieces for my two modules today.

I could use such short, tweet-like posts as, effectively, paragraphs on a ‘Today Page,’ as Dave Winer and some other bloggers do.

I have a sort of mental goal of increasing my post-count this year. Ideally I’d like to hit 365. That doesn’t mean posting every day, necessarily (I didn’t post yesterday); but would need me to post several times per day. Even inconsequential fripperies like this.

And a Happy New Year to all.

Honestly, it’s great: I love the fact that I can stream all the albums in the world for one flat monthly fee.

I just wish that so many of them didn’t end their titles with ‘(Expanded Edition)’.

Or at least that the ‘Original Edition’ was there too.

Happy Christmas everyone.

The soundtrack for today starts with Earthquake Weather. How can Joe Strummer have been dead for eighteen years already?

I know, that’s just the way time works. The music lives on.

Yesterday I tried removing my taped-on mask slowly, and it was actually much better. So I rescind my advice from the day before about removing it quickly.

Trump may never concede, but this video shows us he’s at least said all the right words, if not necessarily in the right order.

The Christmas cake is in the oven. ‘Tis the (start of the) season.

Lot of fireworks going off in Hackney at the moment. It’s probably just random November parties, but I like to think they’re celebrating the great news from the USA.

Congratulations, over there!

These videos of Americans chanting ‘Stop the count!’ What… why… how…?

Trump’s reality distortion field is powerful indeed.

(For example: <twitter.com/SJPeace>)

In Trump’s fake-news world, ‘counting all the votes’ equals ‘stealing the election.’ Out here in the real world ‘counting all the votes’ equals ‘democracy.’

Why do the polls close so early in the US? Seems to be 6pm. On the other hand, with all the early voting, I suppose they’ve been open for weeks.

Good luck today, America. Here’s hoping for a landslide against the guy in office.

It’s extremely disappointing that yesterday’s UK government announcement of the new lockdown made no mention whatsoever of masks or ventilation – and barely any of testing and tracing.

We still need those things, even as we lock down again. The virus doesn’t know the rules.

OK, I’m just watching S3E1 of Star Trek: Discovery, and a character has just said his name is Book.

Are we in the Firefly ‘verse?
