Good Omens, by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman (Books 2007, 12)

This story is a blast: it’s a laugh and a half from beginning to end. Though with a decent sprinkling of horror thrown in, just to make sure it isn’t too lightweight.

It doesn’t hurt if you have some familiarity with The Omen, as it is in part a spoof of that. But it’s not essential.

Highly recommended.
