You may not have noticed yet that Blunkett has resigned. Good riddance, obviously: New Labour is bad enough without introducing Tory sleaze into the mix.

I don’t dislike Blunkett. He’s an odd bloke, and far too hardline as Home Sec (under orders from the centre), but in the past he’s done good work. He’s been getting too careless lately, though. He should have known better and been more careful about checking stuff out.
Yeah, that’s true enough, I suppose. But dodgy directorships (irrespective of the business, really: that was just a cheap shot) piss me off. I don’t think MPs should have other jobs of any kind while in office.
